"Poetry In Motion" Gentlemen, START YOUR ENGINES!!! After each race I’m on the
Big Show, Poetry in Motion - From the green to the very
end, Poetry in Motion - CHORUS: Poetry in Motion - Fans sit through the sun and
rain, Poetry in Motion - Well after every checkered
goes down, Poetry in Motion - Those boys have got the notion... CHORUS: Poetry in Motion - Hey Baby! - Come over here and let me show you my Talladegee tattoo! Oooh! They spun into the grass. Now it’s time for pits to end; Don’t you know it - I’m the NASCAR Poet! POETRY IN MOTION... |
When I first heard "Poetry In Motion" it was The Beach Boys meets The Go Gos; a surfer vacation kinda song. I don't know what made us throw that idea out, but when we threw in the sound effects, LN started to growl the vocal and the song morphed into what you hear here. "Poetry In Motion" was recorded in a converted 2-car garage that was being used as a guest-room/rec-room. We moved all the furniture to the walls, set up the instruments, and rolled the tape. "Poetry In Motion" still sends chills up my spine... The
